What cross is that you bear,
The one you chose at incarnation
To grow, to learn, to raise
Your place in heaven’s realm?
I know not what that is
Eternity awaits completion
Persist, sustain, excel
At Home rewards are yours.
I am Me

Wise man said.
“What you do is
On your head.”
Blame not others
For your act
Own decisions
Write a pact
“Who I am, I
Choose to be
Good or bad, I
Must be me.”
Family Reunion
Time shared, love exchanged
Bonding moments, reminiscing
Sibling rivalry, long forgotten
Roots run deep, forever loved
Break or Bend
Darkest night, the tempest rages
Violent winds upon the shore
Mighty Oak and Willow bracing
Morning light reveals the score
Staunchly stood the Oak resisting
Any change from status quo
Willow swayed and rode the current
Bowing to the greater force
Steadfast Oak sustained much damage
Branches snapped that would not bend
Willow’s tired leaves discarded
Healthy limbs, a place for growth
Change occurs, how will you answer?
Fight to keep your comfort zone?
Ride the thermals to new heights?
Break or bend, your life, your choice.
Infinite Wisdom
Infinite wisdom, time and space
Concepts man cannot embrace
Spirits and guides, to you implore
Follow, trust with them explore
Faith in the vastness sight unseen
Purpose, path, what does it mean?
Miracles happen every day
Inward turn, you’ll find your way.
Get, Rejoice, Contribute!
Holidays, depressed once more
Wallow in self-pity
Humankind is happier
Life for me a struggle
Ego taunts. “Poor me,” it cries.
Stifling heart and logic
Spirit softly whispers love
“Precious being, holy.”
Spirits linking infinite
Time and space forgotten
Ancestors, angelic aides
Blessings freely given
Look around for gifts abound
Sunlight, trees and flowers
Creatures made by God’s own hand
Each unique and custom
Lift your heart by giving thanks
Ego kicked to gutter
Share what’s yours with fellowman
Get, rejoice, contribute!
